About PAM’s CDL Training

PAM Transport partners with professional CDL schools across the country to provide comprehensive training for individuals looking to start a trucking career. The program is designed to take you from zero experience to a licensed, employed CDL-A driver.

Training Program Structure

  1. Application and Screening – Complete the application and pass initial screening requirements.
  2. CDL School (3-4 weeks) – Attend a professional CDL training school with classroom instruction, range practice, and road training.
  3. CDL Testing – Take and pass your CDL-A license exam.
  4. PAM Orientation (3-5 days) – Learn PAM’s policies, procedures, and equipment.
  5. On-the-Job Training (4-6 weeks) – Work with an experienced driver trainer to develop real-world skills.
  6. Solo Driving – Begin your career as a solo PAM driver.

Financial Aspects

PAM covers the upfront cost of CDL training (typically $5,000-$7,000) in exchange for a commitment to work for PAM for a specified period (usually 12 months) after completing training. During CDL school, you receive a weekly stipend to help with living expenses. Hotel accommodations during school and orientation are also provided.
